burdock leaf as digestive bitter ? elecampane?

i heard you say before that it is only the bitter taste that is important in bitters, then burdock leaf would be one of the greatest bitter in the world?

i have been chewing on tiny peices of leaves for about a week now before and during meals, and it seems to be working...but i dont really have low hcl very often anymore, but i beleive i need to take bitters for maintenance.

so burdock leaf is safe and will work as a digestive bitter?

other than for lung issues, what is elecampane good for...i know it is high in inulin and is antimicrobial, so as a intestine cleaner and toner?

thanks, peace
