Re: my story and final true diagnosis
hey ruffneck
good for you fella! but which particular insulin test are you talking about?
i was also told i was pre-diabetic (and was greatly outraged by it) and i went on a really restrictive diet - no carbs at all, no high gi fruits or vegetables, no
Sugar or yeast at all (virtually impossible) - yada yada. i did that for about 4 months or so (maybe longer, i can't remember now). i think i was able to eat about 10 things (since i'm vegetarian). i was also taking some serious metagenics flora powders (i think it was called ultraflora but now it's been reinvented as something else). i did it through sandra cabot's clinic in sydney and i certainly felt better for it. i probably have the program somewhere if you're interested?
i don't wanna bring you down or anything, but i kinda think 'pre-diabetic' is still a symptomatic diagnosis and not necessarily causal - unless, of course, you have had a really dreadful diet in the past?? but following that diet should definitely help you with your brain-fog - and hopefully a whole lot more. but you need to add herbs to support your adrenals/hormone balance, include b-vitamins, and you need to increase your stomach acid/absorption.
that's just my opinion, from the trenches, but hv knows best...
i'm cheering for ya
