Re: success w/ iodine for hyperthyroidism

Hello Wombat and thank you for your reply. What great links! Especially the first. I got fed up w/ my endo describing what the author calls type 2 hypo (thyroid resistence) but refusing to diagnosis me as such because my blood work didnt match. This was my first problem w/ the medical approach- my symptoms are all HYPO but my labs are opposite and no could adequately explain why.

I finally relented though and accepted the hyper label then began researching the HYPO alternatives here.
We ruled out automimmune problems with tests so I decided
this isnt me but rather either something in the environment or malnutrition. The second link covers this beautifully too.

So far I feel I'm on the right path and will use bi weekly labs to confirm. The body is dynamic so I expect to have to adjust doses etc. I certainly feel much better about this than RI or drug suppression for life.

Thank you again for the confirming information!
