Re: Kefir before bed

I've read taking kefir first thing in the morning and last
thing at night because that is when stomach acids are lowest. The only problem with that is i'm told you have to drink plenty of water with the kefir and i don't want to be
up all night long going to the bathroom after drinking water after the Kefir.I would imagine Kefir first thing in
the morning is good enough?

No, you do not have to drink a lot of water. Just a little to help rinse the acids off the teeth and the little bit of water will also help to reduce the stomach acid temporarily giving the bacteria a little more chance to survive. If you want to only take it once a day though this is better than nothing. And the prebiotics that feed the flora are more important in the long run anyway.
