Re: Gangbuster parasites

Yeh, Som, it's been a trip I'll never forget.  I finally have some decent photos but I have not posted them in the Images area yet.  I'll update this thread when I do.  I cannot determine what they are.  Many of mine have looked like floating jellyfish with wings, or sea weed, but mostly white or translucent, maybe reddish some times.

I have been weirded out by this.  They've been coming for over two weeks.  I really thought the liver flush was the end of it, but I was very wrong.  One week later I still have to do irrigations daily to get them out of me.

I think the reason I had so many is that they went many years untreated.  I was sick with them in Viet Nam in the late sixties, and the Army hospital discharged me after not being able to find them (they had found eggs).  Forty years later (and sick much of the time) I am finally getting rid of them.  It's a long process though.

I still go to Central America and I love the jungle.  I haven't been to Mexico but I think I'd like it.  I like the jungle and I don't want to live in fear of parasites.  I like your idea of doing some serious and regular work to keep them at bay.  It's no fun once they get going.

Ciao ...
