can kidney failure cause pain and swelling in your stomach or, only your back?
i have unexplainable pains i am trying to figure the cause of ...please, someone reply?
for a long time i have had a vague pain in my left, low abdomen (sometimes it feels like a pressure from within against my abdominal wall, sometimes it feels a little lower, almost above my hip joint and sometimes feels like it's behind my hip bone ...and sometimes i get a warming, almost burning, in my legs ...not down the back of the leg like sciatica, generally throughout my legs and even my groin) and, coupled with my history of constipation, i thought i could have caused a hernia - but i can feel no "bulge" (although that side of my abdomen i do think is pushed out more than the other) and i sometimes get the same, though lesser, pain on the other side now...
...plus, i realized that, all my life i kind of never had to urinate like other people - i didn't ignore my urges, i just didn't feel the need ...and over the past week, i was at a real crisis with the swelling on the left side (and especially, if i held my pee for any amount of time), and not much pee was coming out and it was very dark. (and also, i have substantial swelling - as does my father - of the ankles).
so i thought this must be from my kidneys ...but i heard that kidneys are near the small of the back, so i would feel pain in my back not the front? i do, sometimes, especially if i've been on my side in bed, pain at the sides of my MID back, but not really the lower back.
do these sound like kidney symptoms? (and/or maybe swelling around my kidneys get aggravated by my bowel problems or, vice versa?) ...i feel terrible that i keep posting asking for help but, i have no idea what's wrong with me :(
thank you to everyone in this community for being there...
god bless
