I had often wondered why a (late) dog of mine (from many years ago) would bury his pigs' ears and let them stay buried a few days before digging them up again to eat them.

Most dogs would scarf them down immediately.

Not Drew - I think he needed minerals - bad. Wish I knew then what I started learning shortly after his death.

Either that, or he just preferred his ears very soft, and not hard! lol (But I'm digressing....
