Dog is blind with enlarged liver.

My dog snyder(black lab, australian shepperd mix) has become blind. It started about a month ago. I realized that he could not see real well. Within the span of another hour he went totally blind. I took him to the vet and was found to have very slightly elevated liver enzymes. An ultrasound showed his liver to be enlarged. There was no obvious tumor. His eyesight actually came back over the next few days. However, a few weeks later he went blind again. You can see his eyes are cloudy and there was some more bleeding into them. His eyes are also bulging a little. His abdomen feels hard as a rock. I am going to take him to another vet for a second opinion this week. I don't want to have to put him down, but he is unhappy. Does anybody know what causes this condition or if it is treateable? Could it be some kind of parasite? Thanks so much. Tweet
