Re: Ulcer under cast on Rotweiller

A couple of things you can try: hydrated clay and raw unfiltered honey. Raw honey has been proven helpful in healing wounds of diabetics. Hydrated clay is helpful in drawing out infection and protecting the wound. You'd want to get a good quality clay like living clay or aztec seceret. Put some of the powdered clay in a container and add water and leave alone. The clay will absorb the water without lumps. The clay will swell alot. Cover the clay with water. If it's too thick, add more water, too thin add more clay. You want it thick enough that it will cover the ulcer and not drip. Wrap the clay cover wound with saran wrap to keep moist. You can even it mist it with water if it appears to dry out. If the clay appears to be drawing out infection, replace with fresh clay. There's a site http://www.LivingClayCo.com
that has a lot of helpful tips. The owner of the site runs a yahoo group called: aboutclay. You'll get lots of helpful info. and support there.
