I don't know for sure, but if the tissue has not completely healed and there's some residual infection, it might flair up. I know if one of my cats get an abcess from a claw puncture, that it's important to keep the wound open and flushed as it heals. Abcessed wounds can close really quickly and trapped bacteria can cause another abcess.

For me, all the times I get a cyst on my labia, I can attribute it to too-tight out of the dryer jeans or plain too tight pants. Tweet
