Re: candy
You say Schisandra not too much for autoimmune, how much is too much?
If taken in small frequent doses it will not cause a problem. So blending it as a formula will keep the levels low. Plus some of the other herbs you will be taking will also contain lower levels of polysaccharides (suma, maca). The good news is that as the adrenals build up they will help regulate the immune response properly and the polysaccahrides will not be an issue.
Could you give me the ratios, of these 4, plus maca powder.
I would do a blend of 4 ounces each of jiaogulan and licorice root, and one ounce each of the suma, maca, and schisandra.
So Jiaogulan, licorice root, and suma and Schisandra and maca powder. Then how much a day?
Roughtly a half teaspoon 3 times daily on an empty stomach. If you make them in to candies you can measure out the half teaspoon and make a little batch of the balls to get a rough idea of how many balls make up 1/2 teaspoon.
I will get all in powder form. At the moment i take maca in compressed tabs. Cheaper to buy the powder though.
Definitely!!!
I too looked and couldn't find, so thanks for repeating receipe for candy.
The candy you use other herbs astragalus, pollen, amia, are these okay for automimmune issues. And can i take above and also make these candies. How many can we eat a day.
Astragalus has some polysaccharides, but not super high. Amla and pollen are excellent for building up the adrenals due to their nutritional value. If you want to add these I would add 2 ounces of the amla and 1 ounce each of the astragalus and pollen.
I bought some licorice tea and was suprised how naturally sweet it was.
Yes, it is considered to be 50 times sweeter than sugar. And it is an excellent adrenal builder and immune modulator.
