Re: Herbs Are Not Effective and Quite Dangerous

There is a psychological component to a lot of these stories that often gets overlooked.

A lot of people trust doctors with their lives, literally. They have a missguided belief that all doctors care about them personally and have their best interests at heart. If a doctor gives them a diagnosis and a prescription for a drug, people want very much to believe that it will work. They have often paid a lot of money to both the doctor and the pharmacy to get this diagnosis and drugs. They look to the doctors for answers because they are supposed to be the experts. People are willing to suffer great discomfort and dangerous side effects from treatments and drugs, and say nothing, because the doctor (read God) told them that it will fix them.

My own Mother made excuses for the doctors that "treated" her for breast cancer, when the chemo and radiation did not work, and the breast surgery mutilated her and spread the cancer to the rest of her body, because of the surgeons bungling, these 'caring' doctors lied to my Mother and told her that she had a very aggressive form of cancer, (she did not, as I confirmed from autopsy results), and that she did not get better because she refused another round of chemo/radiation after the first 4 did not work and made her very very ill.

In her very weakened state she believed it was her fault that the treatments did not work, how could the gods of medicine be wrong.

People are brainwashed from birth to have little belief in their own ability to know their bodies and heal themselves with natural remedies. We are taught to give over the responsiblity of our health and our lives to the white coated gods and drug companies.

Take back control people!! You'll be healthier and happier.
