I totally agree on the one-meal-a-day plan, not from research or training, but because it's something I've done for a while now with great results.
I went from one-meal-a-day to fasting. The protocols I used to come off the fast were *supposed* to be those of Fuhrman - "a piece of Watermelon the size of a woman's fist" every two hours. This didn't feel right on either a physical or mental level. I felt so guilty that I even smoked and drank a coffee, thinking that so long as I did something *bad*, might as well do something else *bad*.
The Water Fast will recommence again, but after a couple days of weaning myself off caffeine. I'm really looking forward to it, and to the next challenge of refeeding. That appears to be the hardest part of fasting.
