Re: Problems 6 months after Gallbladder Removal

Hi there,
I am so sorry to read your story, how horrible. I had mine out four years ago and while nowhere near as serious as you are, yes I swing between that and constipation... it affects my daily life and I suspected the link but have been told over and over like you were that i did not 'need' my gallbladder and wont miss it. I cant eat anything like fried chicken, fries, fatty meat, icecream, without symtoms that mess up the next couple of days for me. I am not overweight but I often just dont feel like eating at all and struggle to lose any weight (I could do to lose maybe 4-5kg but no biggie)... I have been through periods where I am scared to leave the house due to the bowel motions being so urgent and needing to be near a loo all morning... and ANY stress makes it much worse.
The only relief I have found is to control my diet quite strictly with as much raw and fresh foods as possible, low carb as possible and leave out the fat stuff as mentioned above except for when I'm desperate. I use jaggery powder and stevia instead of sugar. I don't have white Sugar or flour in the house and watch I dont consume it at all unless I absolutely cant avoid it. It was not hard for long I got used to it fast especially when it got me the digestive results I needed. Some veges make me bloat (cabbage, cauliflour, onions, carrots) but I think its just a matter of watching yr bod carefully for signs of upset to all food and eliminating what sets you off.. im not surprised re yr sandwich, white bread, lettuce, cucumber and onion all set me off BIG. Let me know how yr getting on... it has been awful for me and you sound much worse off right now!
