Re: Root canal - removal

Hi Cora,

That tooth actually caused long term facial disfigurement (edema and drooping on one side of my face, looking like a chronic bells palsy or a stroke) along with the other routine health issues it consequently came with it - thyroid, parasties, yeast. I always spoke out of one side of my mouth and people assumed I had a stroke and a neurologist diagnosed me with Melkerson's Rosenthal Syndrome.

Having my face back (no drooping or edema) after so many years is something beyond what words can express. Also an RC filled with mercury goes straight into the blood stream and obviously can attach nicely to the Iodine receptors of the thyroid and cause thyroid related problems as well. My thyroid as you know grew a large goitre and half was removed and I was obviously Iodine deficient. Putting this puzzle together didn't come to me on my own but through reading through all of these forums and finally realising why.

How many people are going through this sh*t and not even knowing it? The mind boggles...

Its a big decision to have the tooth out, but for me, it was a no brainer as the symptoms were so profound and pointing to mercury poisening (did I mention drooling as well); and once I realised the cause, there was no other option. I think the material they use now is safer than amalgam, BUT I'm sure no RC is ever safe because of changes to the tooth (bacteria) and the filler having direct access to your blood.

Implants use the safer metal they say (titanium), but still the jaw is drilled into and you have permanent foreign materials in your mouth including the fake teeth, the metal, and holes in your bone. I would definitly go the plate route which can be taken out at night if you ever decide to get that out of your mouth. xox all the best xox
