Re: Jiaogulan

I noticed that after I removed my tonsils, I was steadily gaining weight and getting harder and harder to lose it. I search and search here in CZ, and I stumbled upon who had the same complaint. We exchanged messages, and she told me that on her research for the answer, she read that tonsils are highly related to the liver, filtering out toxins.

Yes, the tonsils are part of the lymphatic system. This is why they swell in response to viral infections. When we have many active viral infections there is an increased production of white blood cells called B lymphocytes. So many are produced that they crowd up in the lymph nodes causing the lymph nodes to swell. The lymphatic system is the "dishwasher" for the body's cells and helps to remove excess fluids. And it composes a portion of the body's immune system.
