Hi, I am already drinking about 12 glasses of water a day. I think the correct ratio of the water formula you are thinking of is to take your weight and half that. So if you are 200 lbs., you would drink 100 ounces of water a day. At least that is what I have heard from countless naturopaths and sports coaches. I think drinking ounce ounce for every pound you are would be too much. If someone who was obese, say like 300 lbs., there would be no way they could drink 300 ounces of water. It would be dangerous.
