Mercury toxicity shows up in the hair because it upsets the balance of normal minerals like calcium/phosphorus and zinc/copper, etc. Other metals evidently do not do this. You can still have mercury toxicity because it can be sequestered elsewhere in the body.
So a hair test showing an imbalance of essential elements, and a history of:
eating seafood
silver metal fillings in yourself or your mother while pregnant
vaccinations
RhoGam given to yourself or your mother while pregnant
using personal care products (hair dyes, soaps, tattoos etc) or cleaning products or foods containing mercury (I know maraschino cherries are one). You can do an internet search for the complete list.
I know cigarettes are associated with another metal toxicity, it may be cadmium but I'm not sure.
I highly recommend Andy Cutler's book, or hanging out on the yahoo list called Autism-Mercury. BTW, there is aluminum in antipersperants and baking powder.
Best wishes and good luck to you.
