Re: Why does coenzyme q10 kill tapeworms ??

The protocol Wen is refering to is Dr. Clarks. It seems that you have done your research already there.

If the other "anonomous" poster is correct about the antioxidant and cleaning effects of CoQ10:
"I doubt very much that COQ10 will do anything for tape worms except make them happier. COQ10 is an antioxidant which helps in keeping your arteries clean."

The reason it would be effective is also explained by Dr. Clark and relates to the statement above. Oxygen is deadly to parasites in the body.

With this in mind, just my theory by what I have learned here and by reading Dr. Clark's first book.

The CoQ10 would essentially flush clean the arteries allowing oxygen to flow freely with the body-- the oil is for weakening the coatings/flesh of the intestinal Tapeworm and help to get the liver flowing, which in turn helps the liver to flush away the toxins now being cleaned from your arteries-- and the cystine with a two part job of hiding/masking the CoQ10 so the intestinal Tapeworm will attempt to assimilate it and it helps the human body to properly assimilate the CoQ10. What specifically the CoQ10 does to the Tapeworm may just be as simple as providing a clean healthy environment which is not prefered by the incidious criter.

Let me know if the interpretantion helps.
