Re: Done my 3rd enema!! Yet more questions!!
I'm just home from a 14 hour teaching day, but I want to commend you, Mantonia, for your persistence on getting the best information. You have discovered by now that every body is different. It applies to the foods we eat, the amount of exercise we get, how much sleep we get, the response each of us has to what might be the same dosage of the same medicine. One element in determining such things is our weight. 50 mg. of the same medicine in a person weighing 108# and another weighing 265# is bound to be different.
I am glad that you are paying attention to how your body responds after these three enemas. I don't know what the "wheezing" might be about. Was it like an asthma attack?
Did you feel lightheaded at all?
7 - 10 minutes is not a long time to take a two
quart enema. Again..it is somewhat a matter of how many times you clamped off the tubing, how much stool was in your rectum and colon, the position in which you received the enema - knee-chest, on your side, on your back. In time, you will know very well the best way to insert the nozzle. Some people insert the nozzle in the wrong direction (i.e. not following the natural curves of the rectum and lower bowel). It's not surprising then, that the bag empties slowly.
You are doing fine. You are using the experience of forum members and reporting your progress to us. I think we're having a good dialogue.
There will always be more questions. I'm still learning and I have been receiving enemas off and on for over 60 years.
Take care, Mantonia.
