hey there! I second that recommendation. Yes, you lose a lot of weight on a fast, but it's pretty miserable. :( I mean, I am soo tired and really overall you deny yourself EVERYTHING. In order to lose 50 pounds you would need to fast 50 days. Keep in mind some of that weight would come back!
Here's what I did. I fasted because I am not super overweight, but I did eat poorly, had terrible cravings for Sugar 24/7, and had injuries. Fasting heals your body and it "resets" your taste buds. So I am trying to reset my body to crave HEALTHY foods so that I don't feel like I am depriving myself all the time.
I think just trying to eat say, roasted chicken with peaces of starberries or other good tasting fruits...try that for 2 weeks? No Sugar and no salt?
You might be surprised! Plus it wouldn't be miserable...like fasting lol.
