Re: bartender! whiskey for the house!

>> "the mistakes could be catastrophic." <<

There have already been catastrophic chemical/medical mistakes... I will not list them.

As far as genetic manipulation goes, GMO food was/is just the beginning...

GMO bacteria is a very scary thought.

messing with protein structures is as well...

http://www.physorg.com/news82309462.html

so is nitrogen manipulation...

>> "Reported responses include both increases and decreases in tree growth, improvements or imbalances in foliar nutrition, increased incidence of pests and pathogens, and changes in the root system. Soil biology and chemistry are also affected in forested ecosytems, with functional changes in nutrient cycling widely reported; acidification and eutrophication lead in several studies to increased leaching of base cations and increased availability of aluminium and hydrogen cations." <<

Now I suppose a few will begin to understand a bit better the nitrogen issues that ML talks about... BTW - a protein contains nitrogen... manipulating nitrogen... = poor quality protein...

We already are aware of poor quality carbohydrates, and poor quality fats... this should make people aware of poor quality proteins... so, a human, or one of their domestic pets or livestock, if they do not wish to be built of these "poor quality components" is fighting a battle against these things. and how does one fight them?

With minerals... which fight the acidification. This is tough because the more acidic the environment becomes, the more nutrient dense our foods must be to stay healthy.

All one needs to do is understand the problem with animals and fish in the wild to see that even the natural environment is not enough to save us anymore... it is too polluted unless we all run to the least polluted corners of the world.

BTW, are you aware that transgenic fish (GMO fish) have escaped into the wild?

http://news.bio-medicine.org/biology-news-2/Transgenic-fish-could-threaten-wi...

What are you eating with farm raised fish?

Cloned and GMO meat, plants, etc.?

Look at the list of articles at the bottom of that last page...
