bartender! whiskey for the house!
helfinger, i have a job for you, sort of.
you talked about blood and the dna in it and how it might react with the earth. this blew me away because i have been thinking about this very thing as well, from a male/patriarchal/biblical slant, for sure.
think about it. the bible has a hands off attitude toward the products of menses, but i dont think this is a bias against women or for men. i think everything in there that we see as prohibitions to break because we have a rebellious heart, i think its for our own good. thats what good parents do, right?
but its not just menstrual blood that is addressed. when cain killed abel, god said that "your brothers blood cries out from the ground." wtf does that mean????
and there is also a prohibition about a mans seed being spilled on the ground. is this really about squeezing a buzz out? get real.
there is something going on here. i think it has to do with genetic material coming in contact with the "earth". we are made of the earth.
i have also been reading some stuff grz has been posting lately about GMO bacteria. scary, scary stuff.
i know just enough biology with labs to get me in trouble. this whole picture has to do with genetics. it has to. and what is it about genetics?
one major theme in the bible is purity. the original tongues indicate a condition "without admixture". if that doesnt make monsters of modern scientists, i dont know what does.
the lord went to a lot of trouble to make separations or distinctions in order to build this universe. separating light from darkness, day from night, land from water, foul from fish, and man from animals.
ok, drink your shot and then tell me what you think. your friends are welcome to join in, of course.
