There is nothing wrong with grass-fed, organic meat. nothing at all. in fact, i would argue it is the single healthiest thing a person can eat. there is way too much vegetarian propaganda on these boards, and not even factual discussion. a good example of this is mo, in this thread, saying that a fistful of meat with "as little fat as possible" is the healthiest way to go. WRONG. fats should comprise the majority of calories in the human diet. do any research into nutrition and you will find that CARBOHYDRATES ARE THE ENEMY, yet on a diet absent of meat the only alternative is a higher-carbohydrate diet. our biological ancestors NEEDED meat in order for the brain to evolve. it is calorically dense, zero-carbohydrate, and nutrient dense as well.
in fact, in the absence of meat or fish there is:
-NO SUITABLE SOURCE OF OMEGA-3'S, besides flax seed, which is CONVERTED POORLY into DHA and EPA
-No b12
-Usually inadequate intake of saturated fat
