Re: been here before

I found it interesting that your
avatar was of Luke Skywalker. His
character epitomized courage and
fighting through fear. Even if you
did not choose it for yourself, it
is telling that fate picked that
icon for you...

I have been in serious situational
depression. What worked for me was
using St. John's Wort. Here is a
link to my favorite blend~~

Also, Liver Flushing would be of
benefit. It may not feel right to
do it yet if you are still sitting
on the fence relative to saying YES
to yourself. When you are considering
what to do to improve your body's
ability to adapt to your stressors,
do consider liver flushing, or at
the least, using some herbs to support
your liver. The liver is known as
the seat of the emotions and so
it is often the case that relief
can be found by cleansing the
liver. St. John's Wort also will help
support the liver.

Drinking more water will help you
heal these issues more quickly.
Sipping is preferable to chugging.
Imagine that you are diluting the
effect the alcohol is having on you.

Most important, it is your choice to
take up the challenge you have given
yourself to heal. I believe you want
to get this episode of your life behind
you. It does not define you. If you
have been assaulted, right now it seems
a large part of your life. With the
healing of time, it will diminish and
you will find yourself focusing on
the aspects of your life which bring
you joy and peace. Meeting your
challenge will empower you to take
charge of your choices and YOUR life.

When your mind begins to mentally loop
the details, when you are ready, begin
to erase them. They have a purpose but
then when you are finished allowing
those thoughts to suppress and hold
you down, then just decide you will
take the next healing fork in the road.

Say YES to you, and get up and walk
towards who you are becoming. You are
the person you are waiting for to change
your mind about holding on to the pain
you are holding on to. Let it go. Take
a hot bath each night, and when you pull
the plug, allow all the stress you are
purging to flow down the drain and out
of your life.

You might also consider some aromatherapy.
Go to a good health food store and sample
the oils you find there. Often there will
be information also on which ones are
beneficial for treating depression.
Certainly, I can recommend Geranium and
Lavender. For Sleeping, Kava is popular
with me. Something as simple as a hot cup
of chamomile tea or Sleeptime tea helps me
sleep like a baby.

All in all, this will pass. I hope you
find yourself standing when it does and
harvesting the fruit of your labor~~peace
and freedom from addiction.

I wish you success on your healing path~~

blessings,
Zoe
