Re: MMS potential dangers/benefits
You did not mention if you are male or female. But the most common cause of hair loss in men is high levels of dihydrotestosterone (DHT). In women the most common cause is hypothyroidism, which is often missed by conventional lab tests. Women are more prone to hypothyroidism due to the risk of elevated estrogen levels, which interferes with thyroid function.
In either case elevated hormones, including DHT and estrogens, indicates a poorly functioning liver. One of the roles of the liver is to break down excess estrogens and androgens (progesterone, testosterone). Elevated cholesterol is also an indicator for a poorly functioning liver. By the way, I hear people all the time telling me that they had their livers checked with lab tests and it was working fine. The lab tests DO NOT indicate liver function. These are enzyme tests that look for liver damage, not function. Symptoms are a more effective means of determining function.
Anyway, the most effective ways of dealing with a poorly functioning liver is with B vitamins from food or supplements, and digestive bitters. The B vitamins aid the liver in detoxification, especially of hormones. Zinc can also help with hormones, especially DHT. Recommended dose of zinc is 50mg daily with a large meal. If you do not have enough food in your stomach this dose will make you quite nauseous. As for the bitters, they are sold in health food stores under names such as Grape Bitters and Swedish Bitters. These are very bitter tasting herbs. When they come in to contact with the bitter receptors on the back of the tongue the vagus nerve is stimulated. This is turn causes the liver to "flush". They get their name from their ability to increase stomach acid, bile and digestive enzymes. They also work great for
Gallstones due to the bile stimulation. Very small amounts are needed to work as the reaction is from a nerve stimulation. Therefore I recommend 1/2 dropper full 1 to 3 times daily and a lot of water throughout the day when using them. Start out slow and work up to more frequent doses.
Can
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement react with heavy metals? I would say yes. It breaks down quickly in to a chloride. And chloride can react with mercury for example forming mercury chloride. There is also a cadmium chloride, arsenic chloride, lead chloride.....
The best way of dealing with heavy metals is with algins from seaweeds and pectins from fruits. Both are effective binders for heavy metals. Silica and calcium are also useful in displacing some heavy metals such as lead and aluminum. Amla berry is great to take during heavy metal detoxifications as it helps to protect the DNA from heavy metal damage.
