They are not switching from chlorine to chlorine dioxide in municipal water systems. They have always used chlorine dioxide. And it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with safety. Chlorine dioxide gas is 10 times more soluble in water than chlorine gas. Simple economics and effectiveness.

The claim that chlorine dioxide has a narrow activity only on anaerobic cells is total BS!!! A simple search will show you that chlorine dioxide is used to kill aerobic bacteria is a host of different industries including seafood production, chicken farming, sewage treatment, etc. And it has even been tested for dentistry and found to kill aerobic bacteria even in very dilute concentrations:

This is why I hate so many of the alternative medicine websites. They lie through their teeth giving out false information that comes back on the industry with more regulations and a reputation for being dishonest. These are the bad apples that give our whole industry a bad name!!!
