I'm pretty sure it does, since I seem to have developed it in the last year and I'm 32. I'm not sure of the cause, but perhaps it's due to liver damage that affects production of FMO3. I haven't been tested, though, so I'm not completely sure it's TMAU. It is a very fishy smell, though.
I know it's meant to be incurable, but I hope stem cell therapy can fix this when/if it's introduced.
