Re: Nutritarian

>> The other thing that springs to mind is that now we can have someone from tropical region A flying to Temporal region B and marrying someone with a different skin colour from a completely different region C. This never happened in ancient times, or throughout our long evolution. What is local food or best food for them - and their kids???" <<

I would still emphasize high quality, local, and in season foods... however there will be adaptive difficulty's and adjustments that may include a predisposition to a particular illness or disease state... which, I believe can be ameliorated a great deal through attention to the "nutritarian" ideal.

But then these kids also may do the same thing once again and they will then compound, and be plagued with these compounded "issues" in determining their best dietary choices.

It has become a bit more difficult to weed it all out... simplified though, it will ALWAYS be, as high quality, local, and in season as possible as being your best bet.

For instance, if I moved to U.K. and planned to live the rest of my days there, I would want my body to "adapt" to the environment... the best way to do this is by eating the high quality, locally, in season foods that have already, long since, made these adaptations.

I live in the American Southwest... and enjoy the Hispanic markets for their abundance of "local" foods including cactus, mesquite, nixtamal, etc... this stuff is the bomb for me, however would most likely be contraindicated for you with the possible exception of an occasional foray in the heat of the summer.
