Is it normal for bone spur pain to move around?

I have horrible heel pain, excruciating. My mom has had bone spurs in the past and thinks that is what I have now. But everyone tells me if it is bone spurs, that the pain stays in one place. My pain, however, moves all around the heel. One day it's in the back, bottom part of the my heel, the next day it's on the side of my heel and the next day, on the outter part, of the bottom of my heel, and so on. Is this normal for bone spurs or should I be looking in a different direction? Thanks.
