Thank you for the replies everyone! My appointment is on Monday, so I will ask them for a saliva test instead of the blood test.

I've just had horrible luck with regular hormones like Estrace, Premarin, etc. The patch does not work for me at all either.

Isn't there more than one type of estrogen in our bodies?

Seems like I remember that there are two or three, and that taking one kind is less likely to cause Breast Cancer or something like that. I can't remember.

I have no problem with testosterone, and I don't know about progesterone....do we even need progesterone if we have had a complete hysterectomy?

I used to do really well with it when I was still having periods, but I don't know if I need it now or not?
