Re: needing help bad!!!!!!!
Well, I know that not everybody with TMAU who does the diet finds it works, but...
...gotta be honest, I think you might be eating things you should be avoiding.
Some fruits - including the melon you mention - is a little bit too high in choline to be part of a low choline diet. You should also be avoiding bananas, broccoli, green leafy veg, avocado, etc. There are a lot of fruit and veg that will lead your body to produce more TMA.
Here are some things that I eat: (Don't want to get your hopes up in case it doesn't work, but it works a little bit for me)
-carrots
-rice
-tomatoes (tinned and fresh)
-bell peppers
-pasta (might want to limit how much you have of this)
-cucumber
-iceberg lettuce
-cornflakes with rice milk.
-egg whites
-Loads of water
You can't live on that, and will eventually need to introduce a source of protein and B12. I have cornflakes with whole milk and yoghurts, but some people eat turkey, which is probably better (I'm vegetarian, so don't). You could also just really increase your egg white intake, and might find this is enough.
Also, you need to make sure that you don't eat anything with soy lechithin and/or torula yeast in, because this will just reverse all of your hard work. It took a week for this to work on me, during which time it was actually worse at first.
You said your doctors said all your tests came back negative. Did he/she definitely test you for TMAU? It is not a standard test, and you usually have to go to a specialist to get it.
If you don't have TMAU, then the diet above just won't work - at all. Sorry.
It does sound to me like they haven't tested you properly, though, and I would definitely find your nearest TMAU specialist and ask to be referred. You can't really beat it until you know what you're up against.
Sorry if the above was just me waffling on and on; am a bit tired today. Hope everything works out for you, though...
TM.
