Some kind of mite is eating me alive at night.
This has been going on for weeks now. Every night when I'm ready to go to bed I am itchy as hell. I've also broken out in tiny little zits in areas that itch the most which is my upper arms and back. It ends up so irritated I can't even sleep with a shirt on. The other weird thing is that I'm on my bed a lot, watching TV Or just on my laptop.. and I am only this itchy at NIGHT! I'm fine during the day. I'm not itchy when I wake up either. Once I was so itchy I took a razor blade and just scratched and scraped the crap out of my forearm. I kept scraping white flakes/dead skin off until I irritated it and got a razor burn rash and made little bloody knicks in my skin. I enjoyed the pain. It was finally RELIEF from that intense itching.
I shower at night but I am using the same Natural/NonChemical soaps I've used for years. I thought maybe it was dry skin with the weather changes but I went a week with just washing up and not actually showering and I was still just as itchy.
There's definitely a dust mite issue as I've noticed whenever I put my head down on my bed, all of a sudden I gradually can't breath out of my nose anymore. I can't blow my nose, there's nothing to blow out and when I sit up it gets better. I wake up with it kind of dry and whatever.. I usually oil pull when it's really bad and it clears it. Oh and when I can breath again, the inside of my nose itches. I know people will say "parasites" but this is some kind of external
parasite more than internal.
It's the worst around 11pm-3am which is probably another reason I'm finding it easier to fall asleep at 4am and it sucks.
I have pets, same ones I've had for years and they are also scratching. There's no way it's fleas, these things are invisible and I've set up "flea traps" and flea combed and never catch anything. Some questionable specks that could be dust, dirt or maybe mites though.
I've tried using Tea Tree Oil, Eucalyptis Oil and Neem Oil to try and repel whatever the hell it is but it's not working.
Any ideas and what I can do?
