I think self-gratification is an essential and healthy part of the sexual maturation process regardless of what the bible says. And I need to say that even if God sends me to hell for it. People who don't spank the monkey because they think it is a sin, and get irritable because the spouse doesn't want to have sex, are wishing that somebody else will do their dirty work for them. Yucko. Servicing someone who believes it is a sin to self pleasure is a shame-induced creepy responsibility. People who love themselves and nurture themselves, and are very picky and discriminating about who and when they will have sex, are offering a gift when they choose to share their sexual energy.
