Re: What's the score with supporting people unconditionally on a water fast? (edit)
Thanks for coming over here and commenting waterbug. Yes to me it is becoming instinctive when I see someone with low self esteem, entirely fixated on weight.
It's actually a very serious problem. At least the pro ana and pro mia sites know what they are dealing with, but here we have genuinely nice people here who have no idea of the problems of EDs or weight-orientated self esteem, innocently commenting. The person with the low self esteem will always focus on the one message that supports their low self esteem viewpoint, and ignore all the others. Here is an example

I think I am going to get a bit more vocal in future
One simple thing people could do is click on the persons picture in the message then click on "Topic Messages sorted by: Date." and look at the titles of previous messages. This takes juts a few seconds, and usually gives it away. Example of person in question

Oh and by the way, that may identify them, but how the hell do we help them? That I have no clue on.
(edit) another example, this person features in the thread below, which had to be moved to debate because of a big hoo ha. This info is found by clicking on the user name

I can see the titles, and without reading the message I know exactly what the poster is going to ask in the message titled "gaining weight after fast". They are going to want to know how not to. No care about how your body has to restock with food, and how it is natural to put on weight.
Am I getting the message across????
