And you are a scientist who researches and develops vaccines? Until people actually get off their rump and help our communities in the way they see fit, they should not sit in chat rooms and complain about how everybody else does it wrong. It is always easy to be critical of other people's intentions. The benefits of vaccines outweight the drawbacks in the homeless community where some of these people die from simple illnesses that might not even phase a normal healthy person. Shelters, soup kitchens, YMCA shower rooms, transient camps, a day without the flu is a day to be able to try to get enought food to stay alive, find shelter to survive the night, or make sure the kids get at least one meal. Have you been a single female on the street with children? Have you ever been alone, without money and nowhere to go but the street? Do you think the world is kind? What if that homeless mother fell sick, do you think her children will be safe? Many shelters are full every night with waiting lists in US cities. There are many ways you can help the needy besides taking away something that will ward off sickness. I don't hear any banding together to pass out Iodine or informational packets, to reach out to the needy. They are the ones that need to hear what some believe so strongly as the only way to health.
