I understand partly your problem.
The trouble is, when you are too close to a problem, you can't see it.
Some marital problems are stubidly simple and fixable.
Then there are problems that can't be fixed.
I used to be married and ultimately failed, so I am talking about some experience.
My ex admitted afterwards, that she often vent to bedroom for a cry!
I often sensed, that she wasn't capable to communicate and there was nothing one can do to make her understand,that open and honest communication is the way to solve almost any problem!

You didn't answer in you post IS HE SNORING?
That is an important little problem and sign!
