Enemas can actually help with detox symptoms by expelling toxins from your body faster. colonics are far more effective than enemas...enemas usually only reach the sigmoid colon, but colonics can get all the way to the cecum. Plain filtered water is fine and may be the best if you are prone to detox reactions. coffee enemas are great, but they release a lot of toxins from the liver which may increase your reactions. There's no problem with doing enemas or colonics with the p&b cleanse...I recommend it to speed up the process and help prevent or ease cleansing reactions. You can do enemas whenever you need them....some people do them a couple of times a day during a colon cleanse.
