Although it is true there are many more cases of 'modern' medicine claiming the lives of people, this man acted stupidly and irresponsibly -- not to mention he was too egotistical to admit he could not help her with what tools and knowledge he had available. The other parent also acted stupidly and cowardly and allowed this man to 'mis'treat her daughter when it was obvious to anyone who looked at her she was gravely ill, and dying.

It almost sounds as if people are condoning him because he used 'herbs'. He is no more less irresponsible or stupid than people who just blindly gulp down whatever a doctor hands them to take without questioning or doing any research on it themselves. Possibly even MORE so, since he could not bother to search beyond his own knowledge base and call in a professional to help when it was quite obvious he was out of his league.

He should get more than six months in jail, in my opinion.
