coffee enema recipee
This
coffee enema includes organic molasses.
This is a good description of what a
coffee enema does and good instructions as well.
The molasses is suppossed to aid in retention and increases detoxification efficiency.
I've tried this myself a few years back and really liked it as oppossed to just a coffee enema.
Coffee Enemas
When the body has an excess of toxins and waste materials, it cannot metabolize and detoxify them all. This results in unmetabolized toxins throughout the body, and this condition can lead to many disease processes. The liver is the main organ of detoxification. When the body is loaded with toxins, the liver is overworking, trying to detoxify these substances.
The intestine also plays an important role in the detoxification process. It has two basic functions:
* To remove nutrients from foods so the body can use them for growth, repair,
healing, and energy. This process takes place in the small intestine.
* To remove waste from the body. This process takes place in the large intestine,
which eliminates the residue of food from the body. It also eliminates the
detoxified materials the liver and gallbladder dump into it.
The last part of the large intestine is called the sigmoid colon because of its "s" shape. Between the sigmoid colon and the liver is a special circulatory system called the entero-hepatic circulation. When the stool reaches this point it is full of putrefied material and toxins. Toxins are sent directly to the liver for detoxification rather than being circulated throughout the body.
coffee enemas were listed in the old medical literature for years as a method of helping the body rid itself of toxins and accumulated waste products. Before pharmaceuticals became the main focus of medicine in the 1920s, they were widely used and publicized. Dr. Sherry Rogers has found that
coffee enemas are an excellent detoxification method.
A
coffee enema is a low volume enema that stays in the sigmoid colon. A coffee enema works by:
* Speeding up the emptying of the bowel. This then increases the emptying speed of the liver ducts holding the detoxified materials, allowing the detoxification process to proceed at a faster pace. Ultimately, the rate of the healing process will increase.
* Making the liver dump out toxins it has accumulated in the bile ducts. The caffeine is absorbed into the entero-hepatic system and goes to the liver where it makes the liver dump out the toxins. By unloading these toxins, other toxins in the body can begin to filter into the liver to be detoxified.
* Stimulating the production of glutathione-S-transferase. Alkaloids in the caffeine stimulate the production of this enzyme that makes the liver detoxification pathways function. It is also necessary to the formation of glutathione, a major conjugator of chemicals. Unless chemicals are conjugated, they cannot be eliminated from the gut

Coffee enemas do not wash out minerals and electrolytes or IgA. Important nutrients have already been absorbed higher in the bowel, long before the food residue reaches the sigmoid colon. Since the coffee enema stays only in the sigmoid colon, they are not affected.
Many people who are sensitive to coffee or do not tolerate caffeine are reluctant to try coffee enemas. Neither of these problems will prevent a person from using coffee enemas. Because the coffee stays in the sigmoid colon, and the caffeine goes only into the entero-hepatic circulation, they usually are not a problem.
MATERIALS NEEDED
* An enema bag.
* If you have hemorrhoid problems, a soft rubber French catheter to fit over the hard plastic nozzle of the enema bag.
* A large stainless steel or glass pan.
* Organic coffee or Folgers (red can) fully caffeinated drip grind coffee.
* A Pyrex one
quart measuring cup with handle and pour spout.
* Unsulfured blackstrap molasses.
* Tolerated water, as pure and chemical free as possible. Be certain you are using clean spring, well, or filtered water. DO NOT USE TAP WATER.
MAKING THE ENEMA SOLUTION
* Bring 1
quart of tolerated water to a boil in the stainless steel or glass pan.
* Add 2 flat tablespoons of coffee and continue to boil for five minutes.
* Turn off the heat and leave the pan on the burner.
* Add 1 tablespoon of unsulfured molasses.
* Cool to a tepid temperature that feels comfortable to the touch. Never use the coffee mixture hot or steaming.
PREPARING THE ENEMA
* Pour the coffee mixture into the Pyrex measuring cup, being careful not to let the coffee grounds go into the cup.
* Put the enema bag in the sink and clamp off the tubing.
* Pour HALF of the coffee mixture into the enema bag and then release the clamp long enough to allow the liquid to run to the end of the enema tub.
* Hang the enema bag at waist level. DO NOT HANG IT ANY HIGHER. The enema solution should go only into the lower end of the sigmoid colon. Hanging the bag higher will force the fluid too high into the intestine.
* Cover the area on which you are going to lie with old towels to prevent staining the floor covering. Coffee will stain all fabric and porous substances.

TAKING THE ENEMA
First half
* Lie down on the floor and gently insert the nozzle or catheter. If you need lubrication, use only food grade vegetable oil.
* Release the clamp and let the coffee mixture flow in. Clamp off the tubing as soon as there is any sensation of fullness.
* If you can do so, retain the enema for 10 minutes. Do not force yourself to hold it if an uncomfortable feeling develops.
* Clamp the tubing and remove the catheter or nozzle.
* Empty your bowel when you have to, or when the 10 minutes have passed.
Second half
* After emptying the bowel, repeat the procedure with the remaining half of the coffee mixture.
* If you cannot hold half of the enema mixture, use the coffee mixture in smaller portions and take three or four small enemas.
When the bile duct empties, you will hear or feel the squirting under the right rib cage, or in that general area. If you feel this with the first or second enema, all you will need to take that day is two enemas.
If after a week of daily enemas you have not felt or heard the gallbladder release, you may need to:
* increase the strength of the coffee. Do not exceed 2 tablespoons per cup,
* take slightly larger volume enemas,
* take three enemas of 2 cups or less each.
The coffee enemas can be used without the unsulfured molasses if tolerance is a problem. However, after taking the enemas for several weeks, you will probably be able to safely add it. Molasses aids in retaining the enema and increases detoxification efficiency.
Most people do not feel "wired" or hyper as a result of coffee enemas. Should you feel this way, or if you have palpitations or irregular heartbeats after a coffee enema, reduce the coffee by a half for a few days to a week. You may want to consider changing to organic coffee. Caffeine blood levels have been done on people who felt wired - none was detected.
Use the coffee enemas as often as directed.
The usual frequency is around 3 times per week. They may be used at any time to clear chemical overloads and allergic reactions.
