Re: "blogs" in support forum posts

Thanks, and to Dusan or whoever, I just checked the posting guidelines and they seem to be the same for blogs and forum posts, namely...
What to include in your posts?
your personal experience:
  • tips and successes--what worked well for you that others might benefit from
  • tips and failures--what didn't work well for you that others might benefit from
  • suggestions based on your own experience or something you read in a good book or trusted/non-commercial/non-biased  web site.
Some people seem to object to frequent posts which go on about things not directly related to the forum's topic. On the other hand some people like them and think they give extra insight. So any clarification / pointers would be helpful.
