depends on the alcohol. cheap alcohol like american beers and vodkas and bourbons are way different in chemical composition than a $ 50 bottle of 10 year single malt Scotch.

and the effects are extremely different, both while drinking, and the next day. maybe you just need better liquor. Laphroaig and Lagavulin are good.
