Don't go to Thailand.

The wisest way for you to travel and not get sucked into addiction (which if you know anything about drug culture, Thailand is the mecca of addiction) is to start doing yoga, wait a bit, and find ashrams you can stay at. There are awesome ashrams all over the planet - pick a country and you'll find one. They're always vegan (right up your alley) and anything that alters your consciousness is such a no-no that no one would even attempt to sneak it.

Besides keeping you balanced, that's the cheapest and most holistic way you'll be able to travel by yourself and not get into trouble. If this (addiction) were a physical symptom and you were say - gluten intolerant - you wouldn't go hanging out in a f**king bakery, nor would you get a job at Wonder Bread. You must look at this slippery slope as it is indicative of everything you're working on. Everything you're dealing with is a recipe. One part addiction or lack of self love, one part physical manifestation of said thought process, one part accumulation and one part nutrient deficiency.

No one can address one of those issues without addressing the other issues. Straight up, no lie - the others will rise up and get ya every time.
