Re: calcium and magnesium

NOTE: this site warns of excess
Iodine - and I believe that the
Iodine forums have redefined what "excess" may be, especially for someone resolving a physical\mental condition. However, the page does have some good information about other thyroid assisting nutrients AND, I believe with all of these nutrients in a healthy diet, larger doses of
Iodine >25mg (especially for a male; dependent upon current health, diet, lifestyle, and environment - exposure) a day in a healthy individual will most likely be unnecessary.
"Low levels of protein, omega-3, potassium, zinc, copper, lithium, and magnesium affect your thyroid gland function."
and...
"Recent research has determined selenium is critically important to thyroid function and selenium is being used to treat both Graves Disease and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis."
I would encourage anyone investigating minerals to search a particular mineral AND protein...
For instance...
Selenium + protein

Or..
Selenium + enzyme
http://www.google.com/search?q=selenium+enzyme&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=com...
or...
Selenium + peptide
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=com.ubuntu%3Aen-US%3A...
This is what ML speaks about... mineral based proteins\peptides\enzymes are what act as catalysts throughout our bodies to get the job done... this is one reason WHY we need minerals, both macro and trace.
