I don't believe the body makes or uses chlorine so drinking sodium hypochlorite
which would release chlorine gas on contact with stomach acid would not be a good idea, on the other hand it appears to utilise hypochlorous acid and a little extra may be beneficial.
This is of course generated internally as needed and requires H2O2, chloride ion and myeloperoxidase
