Re: Even Animal MD's can kiss my can
My little chinuahua had his first seizure in 14 years, 2 mos. ago while on his 3rd day of Prednisone. (I gave up natural methods for his severe itching from allergies, he'd chew himself bloody, he was suffering.)
3 different vets, THREE OF THEM...ALL told me the seizure was NOT due to the Prednisone. They were from 3 different offices. All assured me it was not the meds, but I found the coincidence too strange. After 3 days and healthy pup has a seizure? Very very scary.
The head vet at one clinic insisted the med was safe, it is even used to treat seizures, as I did see with online research.
I finally tried giving little dog the Prednisone again for his itchiness and inflamed skin, half as much this time...
WELL he had another seizure. I was right, THEY were wrong, and my dog could have died.
Now wrong-a5S head vet is suprised and ALMOST admits the seizures were due to the Pred.
DUH--OBVIOUSLY
I should have followed my instincts instead of being convinced to try the Big Farm Solution.
Humans take Prednisone, also. BEWARE OF ANY PRESCRIPTION MEDICINE
