THe swab found giardia cysts and blastocystis hominis cysts. I know they are parasites and I definitely have those.

What I'm questioning though is if the test rules out the larger worms that were not found on the test. It seems to me that if I had an infection and the females lay eggs each day, some of those eggs would appear in the swab.

It wasn't a stool sample these were found in, it was a rectal swab of the mucus lining.

THe other thing found on my swab was crystals which may indicate parasite infection:

and they list the worms I tested negative for as possible causes of the crystals. THis is all so confusing.
