Re: 40 Day Fast - Constant Nausea

I am on day 23 of my Water Fast and have been experiencing nausea in varying degrees since day 8.
I have also passed bile fluid on days 9,10,11,17,18 and 19 which in my case I believe to be part of the cause
Since I have had serious liver problems,jaundice,pale stool, passing blood, fatigue, nausea etc previously - I realise that it is because I have a digestive problems as well as eliminative ones and this is the body's way of cleaning out the eliminative pathways. I also experience relief after passing the bile and the nausea lessens.
I suspect (although I don't know for certain) that bile production during a fast in quantities large or small may trigger a digestive response that presents itself as a feeling of nausea or sometimes extreme hunger pangs, though I am sure there are other explanations for nausea also.

I would imagine that the nausea is a result of a digestive issue that is slowly being resolved in your case and would stick at the fast for as long as you can to see lasting benefit.

Thirst should determine how much and how frequently you drink water as your body will be a much better guide to hydration than anyone's advice.
