I was DX'd with MS 3.5 years ago, and am currently suffering from severe yeast overgrowth. I'm breaking out like crazee, experiencing hair loss, I have the usual joint and muscle aches and pains, the brain fog, vertigo, dizziness, newly contracted mucus in my throat, and a REALLY annoying vaginal discharge.
I'm reading all SORTS of things about these 2 Rx's to eliminate yeast. I understand Diflucan only works on systemic yeast, while Nystatin only works to kill digestive/gut yeast and use of Rx doesn't kill the yeast in the other.
Can you take the Diflucan for the very short period (10 days) that it needs to be effective, and then take the Nystatin to remedy the gut yeast afterwards, thus eliminating candidiasis entirely?
How do these medications tie in with the candida Elimination Diets ?
