Re: Has anyone developed tachycardia after being on the Merina IUD?

I have had mine out for three months and still have heart palpitations when I get my period. Even though I'm pretty sure it's from the mirena it still scares the crap out of me every single time it happens. My side effects were...

First palpitations-felt like my heart was turning flips in my chest
Second came racing heart up to 157 while at rest-probably panic attack b/c of palps.
Then I started having chest pain, shortness of breath every now and again, blurred vision, DIZZINESS with the palpitations, sick to my stomach, you can see my carodid artery pulsating....

I have been to a cardiologist all test were normal other than a few PVCs and dropped beats on the holter monitor. Stress test was fine, echo was fine, all EKGs have been normal. All blood work has came back fine so has chest xray. So that just leaves the hormone imbalance from the IUD!!!!!!

I feel like because of the palpitations now I notice every single little thing that goes on in my body. I use to not worry about anything. I quite drinking caffeine, stopped smoking, and having drank alcohol since all this. But still the palpitations. Does anyone else feel like they are messing up your whole life? Tweet
